 When
my wife and I got engaged and started looking for venues, I was
pretty sure that I was destined to parade around every whitewashed,
box-shaped banquet hall within 400 miles of Chicago. And parade
we did. We looked at hotel spaces, stand-alone banquet halls, wineries,
beaches and castles. We looked at resorts and bluffs, lakes and
rivers, and even a barn! But I think in the end it made us appreciate
even more the uniqueness of the space you and Bill have created
at Frog Pond Village. It only took us moments of walking through
the grounds at FPV to know that we would be married there. It was
the perfect blend of spirituality and nature, although some would
argue they are one and the same!
Beyond the magical character of the grounds (my wife
is still talking about the shimmering lights!), I was thoroughly
impressed with the assistance, care, and concern you provided us
as you guided us through the planning stages of our event. Your
fairness and respect was consistently demonstrated to us during
our interactions in the year leading up to our event. By the time
you stopped by the reception one last time to make sure everything
was still going perfectly, we felt we had gained another great friend.
We were also very pleased with the vendors that you
recommended to us. We did a lot of research on our own for vendors,
and in the end we realized we should have stopped right at the FPV
webpage. The food was great, the music perfect, and Rev. Grimes
settled us both down for a wonderful ceremony.
If we had it our way, we would make everyone we know
get married at FPV. But that wouldn't leave much vacation time for
you two, and even people in the business of love need at least a
few days off! Thank you for doing such a great job for us, and we
wish you the best of luck with your future endeavors.
Cheers,
